Support for timeslot selection in Messenger

In a future release, Genesys Cloud will introduce a timeslot picker in Architect, allowing participants to select a time slot directly within a chat bot conversation. With this update, bot authors can configure a standardized timeslot selector in Architect for digital bot flows. Chat participants can see and select an available time slots in their local time zone. This feature makes scheduling appointments more intuitive and reduces the risk of formatting errors. This enhancement improves bot and messaging interactions and also ensures compatibility across all digital channels, including Apple Messages for Business. These improvements simplify appointment scheduling, improve user experience, and reduce errors.
Note: Bot authors must configure their time picker slots in UTC. Calendar events render on the user’s device in their local time zone.
